Senior Direct Tax Specialist

The first Financial Shared Services Centre was launched successfully in 2013 in the Netherlands (FSSC NL). In 2016 FrieslandCampina has decided to expand its Financial Shared Services concept by setting up a Financial Shared Service Centre in Kuala Lumpur for Asia and in Budapest to support its businesses in the Europe, Middle-East and Africa region.
As a Senior Direct Tax Specialist you will be reporting to the Senior Reporting & Accounting Manager RtR. The purpose of the role is being responsible for the delivery of outstanding finance and accounting services in particular to the field of tax, to accommodate the evolving business. The role will require defining central processes, continuous process improvement and standardization where required, while ensuring the best possible experience from business partners.
Ce ne dorim
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Economics/Accountancy/Finance field, Master’s degree is an advantage
- 10+ years proven working experience in finance RTR or Tax, 5-8 years of working experience as Business Accounting/Finance Manager, Accounting/Finance supervisor/Tax Advisor
- Strong tax expertise (direct tax) with a minimum of 5-7 years experience in similar high level Tax SME roles
- Solid hands-on working knowledge to improve/transform complex integrated tax processes on regional/global level
- IFRS or Hungarian chartered accountant certificate is an advantage
- Certification in project management methodologies is considered as an advantage
- Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations, tax (direct)
- Solid experience to oversee diverse activities and agendas though keeping right focus on strategical priorities
- Ability to make decisions on own level, strategic thinking
- Advanced Excel and SAP knowledge
- High attention to details and accuracy
- Ability to create clear directions and vision in line with functional strategy
- Advanced English knowledge (written and spoken)
- Knowledge of LEAN / continuous improvement and CI mindset is completing the profile

1. Coordinate and perform tax scope with high complexity for OpCos in FSSC scope, coordinate and implement complex internal and external Tax process changes:
- Develop/contribute to the development of policies, procedures and/or systems for the own specialism, consider the needs of the business and the FrieslandCampina Finance strategy in this process and after approval implement these in line with external regulations to ensure compliant policies and procedures tailored to FrieslandCampina requirements and needs
- Collect, prepare, analyse and/or transform data into insights, regarding the own specialism and/or (potential) financial risk areas to support correct, timely and complete information for decision making
- Measure and evaluate the effectiveness and quality of tax policies, procedures and/or systems and initiate and implement changes and improvements when needed to ensure
- Identify opportunities and risks and advice, challenge, convince and/or provide support to the business on topics and issues within the own specialism, based on own expertise to enable management and stakeholders to make informed decisions
- Develop/contribute to the preparation and execution of (consolidated) reporting (periodical or ad hoc) for internal stakeholders and external (supervisory) authorities, according to (local) legislation to ensure timely, accurate and compliant tax reporting of financial information
- Keep up with relevant (knowledge) developments and regulations in the own specialism and ensure development, transfer and retention of knowledge. Knowledge level (in the department) is appropriate to execute the activities within the own specialism and contribute to the competitive advantage of the business
- Educate and coach junior colleagues
- Responsible for stability of the internal GBS tax processes in accordance with applicable regulations and with the company's internal control environment
- Analyze and evaluate RtR Tax processes, and advice on improving these processes. Working closely with the BPO teams globally
- Support operational teams to resolve high level escalations
- Perform activities in line with internal and external controls, regulations, compliance
- Proactively raise risks, opportunities and resolving problems; draws conclusions based on analysis and gives advice on optimizing existing practice. Identifies shortcomings in current methods, systems and procedures. Analyses, proposes and (where possible) implements alternatives.
2. Projects and process optimization:
- Define, manage, and/or participate in multidisciplinary (global) projects within the own specialism. Realisation of project objectives within agreed parameters.
- Actively supports the Management/Stakeholders to identify opportunities and drive improvements.
- Acting as change leader to identify and implement changes in the Tax processes.
- Be part of complex non GBS Finance projects, lead/contribute to impact and implement changes.
3. Management information and strategy input:
- Contribute to the development of the department plan based on own expertise and activities of own area.
- Exchange knowledge/information with the GBS Corporate teams regarding own tax/financial knowledge with internal and external parties, within legislation and policies and procedures of own functional discipline.
