Now it is your chance to join! We are looking for an excipient Global Technical Lead (GTL) with affinity towards excipients, being lactose, microcrystalline cellulose and disintegrants.
As Global Technical Lead (excipients) you will provide the in-depth understanding on specifically Lactose within the DFE Pharma organisation. This means that you will provide technical support on current and new products, platform processes and innovation ideas. You will be able to combine high end scientific (theoretical) and practical knowledge into a mechanistic view / support to our customers.
We are looking for a temporary support of one year as a maternity leave back up.
What we ask
MSc / PhD in a related scientific field e.g. Particle Technology, Powder Technology, Pharmaceutical Technology of Pharmacy. Having four (4) years recent scientific and technical working experience in the pharmaceutical and/or excipient industry, ideally in formulation development.
Build strong relations with the R&D formulation (lab) team and the more commercial business unit manager(s)
Able to provide consultative / mechanistic (powder technology) based formulation protocols and deliver.
Problem solving skills – translating your understanding of the problem into an approach towards a solution
Having a good working knowledge of pharmaceutical process steps and equipment to formulate Oral Solid Dosage Forms (OSD).
Strong Pharmaceutical Formulation skills, focused on OSD (like IR Tablets made by Direct Compression and Wet Granulation)
High proficiency in English (spoken and written), confident speaker

Vacancy description
Translate together with the Business Unit Mangers, Product Developers, Sales and GTL team the customer needs into customer facing solutions.
Advise Business Unit managers and Customers on best technical solutions and strategic directions.
Act as a liaison between different departments with understanding from both the market needs and scientific principles.
Initiate the required protocols, based upon Quality by Design and scientific principles to obtain relevant knowledge or a customer solution.
Lead application support with the formulation team, and inform customers on output.
Visiting customer R&D (formulators) to enable technical consultative sales and issue solving.
10-20% of international travelling will be expected as part of the job.
Present work in international conferences and scientific papers.
Team Details
You will be part of the Innovation and Technical Solutions (ITS) Department and report to the Director (ITS).
You will be part of a team of 4 Global Technical Leads working from Goch (Germany), frequently visiting our R&D center in Nijmegen (The Netherlands).
You will continuously work in collaboration within the GTL team and other functions to deliver the best, scientifically correct and ethical output to our customers.
