Global Statistical Demand Planner

Within the S&OP Planning function of our Global Supply Chain, we are looking for a Global Statistical Demand Planner to drive central statistical demand planning. This new role is part of our key transformative initiative: project Anura. Under Project Anura we are implementing a new way of working in our Global Supply Chain (both Demand and Supply planning) by introducing a next generation planning tool from OMP. Our aim is to move from a short term static sequential planning to a synchronized, data driven planning with E2E visibility across our Supply Chain both on short and longer term horizon.

Global Statistical Demand Planner

What we ask

  • Bachelor or Master degree
  • Affinity with data, analytics and statistics and willingness to develop this (education in area of Data Science/Analytics or Econometrics is a plus)
  • Experience in data analytics role or demand planning is a plus
  • Business savvy, able to understand dynamics various markets we operate in
  • Understanding of (customer) supply chain within RFC: only internal, external out
  • Demonstrated stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills (English must, Dutch optional)
  • Pro-active/action oriented, self-starter
  • High sense of responsibility and accountability

Vacancy description

  • As a Global Statistical Demand Planner your goal is to drive business adoption of data driven forecasting via AI/ML (demand sensing) and Statistics. You will create a solid statistical baseline forecast for various parts of our business in close collaboration with the local demand planners at our various parts of the organization.
  • You are responsible for reviewing and cleaning historical data and determine if AI/ML/Statistical forecasting and demand sensing can be applied to your scope/portfolio
  • In this role you are driving the continuous improvement of our forecast accuracy, bias and forecast value add. You are able to understand and challenge the quality of enrichments provided by the commercial teams and drive the  continuous improvement journey of our AI/ML engine based on available data.
  • In this role you will closely collaborate with demand planners at various parts of our global Supply Chain organization. In this role there are also travel opportunities to visit our colleagues. You will also collaborate with other data science experts, both from FrieslandCampina and our solution provider OMP.
  • Implementing this transformative way of working entails more than solely implementing a new tool. Change management and continuous improvement capabilities are key. As central planner, you have an important role in reaching adoption of data driven forecasting at the various part of our business. In this context you deal resistance and coach colleagues supported with data and analysis to adopt the system template and bring it into action!
