As Supply Chain Modeler you manage our manufacturing network optimisation tool, fill it with cross-domain data and deliver strategic projects to further optimise FrieslandCampina's dairy supply network.
Using a process system engineering approach, your projects contribute to more profitable Supply Chain and a better valorisation of our dairy farmer’s milk. You are a business partner in capturing current reality and future business needs in reliable models of FrieslandCampina’s technology network. Your insights, recommendations and business cases support business stakeholders in improving their strategic programs.
The role includes data preparation of product volumes and financial data and maintenance of the technology model database. You are the Product Owner for the optimisation platform (called Diamond) and manage our tool supplier. You have an active role in extending this platform in response to future business needs. You identify and develop new technologies in modelling and data science. Also the training and coaching of junior and medior project members and end users is in your scope.
The role reports into the Digital Supply Chain & R&D team within SC Operational Excellence. Main interactions are within the Digital team (esp. the Sr Supply Chain Modeler), with business stakeholders, IT and the external supplier.

- You have a master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Technology, Food Technology, or equivalent study direction.
- 5-7 years’ experience in Supply Chain and/or R&D
- Experience in SQL and Power BI
- DBX and Python experience is a plus
- A proactive attitude, with owners’ mindset to drive the optimisation agenda
- Analytical with a cricital and continuous improvement mindset
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

- Leading Diamond network optimisation projects to deliver on time, correct and in scope, together with the multidisciplinary project team.
- Communicating business case results to business stakeholders in order to create alignment on the case and implementation of the result.
- Leading the development and maintenance of the Diamond platform, based on current and future business requirements.
- Being the first point of contact for (external) Diamond developers and Corporate IT.
- Connecting with different business stakeholders (Global Supply Chain, SC Strategy, Corporate Finance, Research & Development) in order to collect insights and data, necessary to reliably model the Supply Chain.
- Accountable for network optimisation training and learning materials.

The new Digital Supply Chain and R&D team in FrieslandCampina is created by merging 3 Digital and Data & Analytics teams. We will enable the realization of business goals by developing digital solutions across the entire chain: R&D, procurement, planning, make, technical & logistics. Working closely with business stakeholders and the specialists of our global IT department, together with the team of data and analytics experts, you will play a crucial role in shaping and realizing this journey.

The Digital Supply Chain and R&D team consists of 25 members located in the Netherlands. Together we are driving the Data agenda of FrieslandCampina Supply Chain and R&D, creating an engaging journey for our 10.000 professionals to become true data citizens.
