Senior Innovation Specialist

An objective of the Process Innovation & Excellence team is to identify and apply continuous improvement & technology opportunities and principles to drive GBS operational performance. Due to the nature of processes overarching functional boundaries (E2E processes) these improvements have an extensive impact on RFC’s businesses (Opcos and C&S departments). Furthermore, due to the expertise of the team, services are provided to individual businesses within RFC.

 

The Senior Innovation Specialist is part of the GBS Process Innovation & Excellence team (PI&E) is responsible for design, improve and optimize E2E processes via innovation & automation solutions.

What we ask

  • Bachelor or master degree in a relevant area, f.e. Finance
  • Education or certificates on following topics are a plus:
  • Continuous Improvement / LEAN
  • Automation (RPA, MS Power Platform, Python, SQL)
  • People Management
  • Project Management 
  • Change & Stakeholder Management
  • Good verbal and written communication in English (other languages are a plus)
  • Innovative mindset, challenge status quo, analytical thinker
  • Basic stakeholder / change management capabilities
  • Understand E2E business processes and translate business problems and value opportunities into process and technology solutions
  • Advanced project management capabilities

We have an inquisitive mindset, continuously looking for impactful innovations, improvements of processes and systems.  This requires an appetite to collect outside-in views on industry best practices and translate those into value (either productivity, quality or control improvements)
We think outside of the box and we are able to engage our stakeholders in supporting our initiatives 
We ensure that innovations and improvements are supported and eventually embedded and owned by the operational departments
 

 

Key responsibilities:

Identify value adding opportunities to include in innovation strategy roadmap and drive industry best practices for innovation solutions
Drive execution and alignment of strategy roadmap
Safeguard policies and governance and working according to GBS improvement methodology
Valorize innovation/automation (process and system) optimization opportunities in RFC E2E processes/systems through identification and execution by operational teams. Drive value management
Managing operational innovation activities in the team by coaching and instructing junior and medior Innovation Specialists on way of working 
Leading/substantial role in designing and developing complex automation / innovation solutions 
Lead (complex) innovation projects and ensure these are deliverable in Budget and on Time with the required Quality 

 

People management:

Lead, coach, develop and appraise employees within the team
Implement a robust back up and knowledge retention plan
Ensuring adequate people management for team members – having continuous dialogues with team members and register outcomes and feedback in relevant systems, supporting talent development, maintaining high engagement in the team and keeping team attrition low 
Supporting team members on PDP
Enabling performance reviews in line with global framework

Determine innovation, improvement & technology strategy
Define methodologies, governance, frameworks and policies on continuous improvement
Identify, design, build and implement process & system innovations
Train and build capabilities on new solutions and ways of working
