Global Key Account Manager

DFE Pharma has a strong and leading position in excipients and is recognized for its high quality products and services. We work with practically all big pharmaceutical companies worldwide.

As Key Account Manager, you will develop and execute the sales strategy for all DFE Pharma business segments at a few of our Key Accounts globally. You will be responsible for the growth ambitions at these customers, including new developments.

You are laterally leading a multi-disciplinary Key Account Team, including relevant area sales managers. Of course you will be in very close contact with the customers.

What we ask

  • Strong business acumen, analytical and numerical

  • Master degree in preferably Business, Pharmacy, health science, chemical engineering, or related fields

  • At least 7 years of commercial experience in a pharma B2B environment

  • Solution oriented which satisfies our customers’ needs

  • Proven track record in cross-functional and multi-level collaboration; lateral team management

  • Demonstrated ability to develop strategic projects, with strategic program execution and planning skills

  • Responsible for project movement and growth at Key Accounts

  • Quick learner, energetic team player, driven by results, passionate about making the deal and persevering until goal is achieved

  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to cross-sell

  • Excellent communicator (oral & written) combined with presentation skills

  • Based in the US

Vacancy description

  • Set the global strategy and operational plan for the relevant Key Accounts
  • Execute strategy and operational plan in collaboration with other Key Account team members and the broader commercial function

  • The Key Account manager is responsible for the P&L of concerning Key Accounts

  • Setting up regular business review and top-to-top meetings with the Key Accounts

  • Drive and lead the Key Account teams, with members of QA, ITS, SC, PGM, CMO and area sales managers

  • Be customer focused and capable of analyzing and fulfilling customer needs

  • Ensuring a strong, multi-disciplinary and multi-level relationship with the Key Accounts, in order to be recognized and rewarded as the first partner of choice

  • Sustained business growth, preferably outperforming the market

  • Well-developed innovation portfolio and pipeline at the Key Accounts

  • Internal sponsorship and support at DFE Pharma for your key account(s)

Team Details

  • You report to Vice President Global Strategic Accounts
  • Together with the other Key Account Managers you are responsible for DFE Pharma’s most valuable customers
  • Our US office is based in Paramus; the headquarter is in Goch (Germany)
  • Up to 50% traveling required
