FrieslandCampina Ingredients is looking for a Market Intelligence Lead to join our dynamic Global Marketing team. This newly created role sits at the heart of our strategic ambitions and plays a vital part in our focused approach to adult nutrition. With a strong emphasis on dairy proteins and prebiotics, you'll help shape innovation and strategy that drives continued growth in our key segments, including performance and active nutrition. As the Market Intelligence Lead, you will play a pivotal role in translating market data into actionable insights, guiding business decisions and innovation. You will also provide functional leadership to our Market Insight Manager, fostering a high-performance insights capability across the organization.

What we ask

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
  • Over 10 years of relevant experience in data, finance, engineering, or business operations/insights—ideally within the sports, active, or medical nutrition industries.
  • A strong grasp of marketing, branding, communications, and digital and business strategy.
  • Proven expertise in media measurement and analysis related to public relations, marketing, and communications, with hands-on experience in social listening tools and reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with standout skills in Excel and creating compelling presentations.
  • Familiarity with a range of secondary research tools, including social media analytics, market databases, and financial reporting platforms.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills—both written and verbal.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities independently, meet tight deadlines, and maintain a sharp focus on project goals and budgets.
  • Comfort working in a matrixed, cross-functional organization, leveraging a multidisciplinary approach.
  • An entrepreneurial spirit: proactive, accountable, and eager to take ownership and drive initiatives forward.

Vacancy description

  • Drive global market intelligence by monitoring trends, coordinating market mapping, and leading consumer and customer research initiatives
  • Design and execute comprehensive market studies using both qualitative and quantitative methods, including project scoping, budgeting, and vendor management
  • Act as a strategic partner to innovation marketing managers, supporting value proposition and innovation development for proteins and Biotis®
  • Collaborate with regional marketing teams to tailor strategies and gather local insights, ensuring global relevance and impact
  • Define and evolve the insights strategy for adult nutrition, building internal capabilities, training teams, and optimizing our data tools and agency partnerships
  • Deliver clear, data-driven insights and presentations for senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Lead global competitive benchmarking and continuously enhance our understanding of the external landscape
  • Streamline and automate analytics processes to boost efficiency and scalability

 

You will report to the Global Innovation Marketing Manager Performance & Active Nutrition, with daily work coordinated and executed in close collaboration with the members of the marketing team. You also engage closely with the sales, development, marketing communications, digital, nutrition, and regional marketing teams.
